Hair & Make-up 2025!

• For Pre-K and Kinder, we are aiming for a more uniform look. Hair should be styled in a soft classical high bun for both the Friday rehearsal and the performance. (see tutorial video)

• For Ballet 1 students, there is an option to wear either a high classical bun or a low romantic bun.

• Ballet 1 students who are also enrolled in Acro are required to wear the low romantic bun to accommodate the physical demands of Acro, such as head rolls, where a traditional high bun would not be practical.

• All students in Levels 2-4 and Ensemble Teens are required to wear their hair in a low romantic bun.​

Make-up should be “big” enough to be seen on Stage, but simple enough so that each dancer matches.

If students have their makeup perfected by Wednesday’s rehearsal, they may skip practicing makeup on Thursday by checking with lead teacher for approval. However, please ensure they come fully prepared and performance-ready hair for all rehearsals.  Friday a sports photographer will be taking action photos during dress rehearsal on stage, and perfect hair and makeup is a must.

It's not mandatory, but we highly recommend enhancing those beautiful features under the dazzling stage lights used for performances and photography. Ultimately, it's up to the parents to decide if makeup is the way to go!
