Meet The Team
Patty started CAST Academy in 1993 out of a desire to fill a need when theatre classes were beginning to be cut back from the public school budget. Her love for the performing arts started in Portland, Oregon with the drama department of the public high school she attended.
Jennifer Craw is a graduate from UCLA Theatre, Film and Television with a BA in Theatre. Involved since the inception of CAST, her love of theatre started because of her mother Patty's passion. She serves as the Artistic Director of CAST Academy.
Kyle Craw is a graduate of UCSC, Film and Digital Media. He designs the sound for the performances at CAST Academy. Kyle has played guitar, bass, and drums in the local Fallbrook music scene and at national music festivals, including Spirit West Coast, and Sunshine Fest. He is also the sound recording studio engineer at Red Crosby Studios.
Stacia began dancing at the age of two studying jazz, lyrical, tap modern and musical theater. During three of her years at Fallbrook High School she served as Captain of the Performance Dance Team. Stacia has a great passions for dance and loves working with kids.
Alli has been dancing for over 15 years in many different styles. She has trained at Katherine’s Academy of Dance and A Step Above Dance Studio in the styles of ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, pointe, and hip hop. She is currently expanding her dance knowledge while taking dance classes at Miracosta College.
Doug Smith is a long time lover and teacher of theatre. With teaching and directorial credentials from both UCLA and SDSU, Doug has taught theatre at Fallbrook High, Mt. Carmel, and Westview high, for a combined 32 years. Doug's largest accomplishments include his Outstanding Educator of the Year award from the California Educational Theatre Association, along with is 2012 induction to the San Diego Educational Theatre Association's Hall of Fame. Doug serves as the Director of the Acting department at CAST Academy.
Kristena Hill grew up in Fallbrook and has studied dance and music at CAST Academy from the age of 7. Kristena is also an accomplished vocalist, and strives to combine music lessons into her dance classes. She helps her dance students develop basic musical competency, such as singing in tune and moving with accurate rhythm. Kristena believes art nurtures creativity, self-expression, and confidence and supports social and physical development.
Becky began her ballet training in Fallbrook at the age of three. Recently, Becky studied under Raymond Lukens and Franco De Vita with the American Ballet Theater’s (ABT) National Teacher Training Curriculum. She earned her certification in levels Pre Primary through level three. She has also attended the summer intensive at the American Ballet Theater in New York. Past local Instructors include: Ms. Heidi Balance, Ms. Sarah Jones, Ms. Eugenia Keefer, Ms. Jackie Hepner. She has performed several roles in many ballets including, Dew Drop, Marzipan, Waltz of the Flowers, and Snow in the Nutcracker, Coppelia in Coppelia, Sylph in Les Sylphides, the Cat in Peter and the Wolf, soloist in Paquita, and for California Ballet Productions with the Corps de Ballet. While teaching, Ms. Becky continues to further her education in ballet and teaching at various levels.
Alyssa has studied the hip hop dance genre for over 10 years. She is a certified Cize! Hip Hop instructor. She focuses on Hip Hop, fitness, and original choreography.
She is currently living her dream to combine her love of children and gifts of dancing as she teaches at CAST Academy.
